The number on the contract
The book is 276 pages. That number comes from the printer’s contract.
If it changes, this page changes too.

Working out where we are in the year.
The year has six checkpoints. A checkpoint is a Thursday when your pages are due. Hit every checkpoint and the rest of the year stays on track. Miss one, and the problem grows fast.

Senior ads and portraits of students and staff use up a lot of pages before anyone designs a spread.
Those pages aren’t built from scratch, but that doesn’t make them easy.
They depend on other people: families buying ads, businesses sending artwork, and the portrait company delivering photos.
You can't make other people move faster.
Chase them early.
These are the only dates you need. The printer runs one schedule for a thousand schools, and it won't wait for us, even if our photographer gets sick.
That's why these dates don't move.
All six checkpoints count the same. There's no small checkpoint and no practice checkpoint. If a page isn't in by Thursday, it's a blank spot in the book.
Nobody fills it for you.
Only cover what already happened. Spring sports are due in the spring, not the fall. Stuck on a page? Check whether the event is over yet.
Set up your photo shoot first. Every late spread in this class's history had the same problem: nobody took the photos. The layout was never the issue.
Always.
This page knows what day it is. The top block shows today: what to do, what’s due, and what’s next. Use the arrows or tap a day card to see other days. To see the details for any week below, press EXPAND.
